Join storyteller and yoga teacher Sydney Solis for a transformative 3-hour journey through world folklore, myth and personal storytelling designed to support youth and families navigating trauma, grief and loss.

In this dynamic introductory workshop, you’ll explore how yoga acts as a lifeboat and stories like a guiding compass; as the healing image, spoken word, imagination and body awareness can help move through difficult emotions and restore a sense of joy and wholeness.

Drawing from her own experience overcoming complex PTSD and helping her two young children heal after the suicide of their father, Sydney shares time-tested tools for resilience and renewal developed over a lifetime of working with story, somatics and cross-cultural wisdom.

YOU WILL DISCOVER:

  • The power of healing images, play, and imagination to transform trauma.

  • How oral storytelling—from world myth to personal narrative—fosters connection and
    understanding

  • Storytime Yoga®: A Lifeboat and A Compass—a method using the oral tradition to help
    children process grief and loss.

  • Storytelling as ritual and communication to strengthen relationships with self, family, and
    community.

  • Gentle movement, breath, and yoga-based practices to support emotional regulation,
    focus, and relaxation.

  • Jungian and soul-centered tools for self-expression, growth, and symbolic insight.

CONNECT:

  • With your voice, body, story, and creative imagination.
  • With others in a safe, supportive community committed to healing through the arts.

Let yoga be your lifeboat. Let story be your compass. Come restore the joy.
