Bio:
I have been a pediatric nurse for 9 years. While working with children with complex medical needs, I have come in contact with several children near the end of their lives, but my desire to work more closely with clients at the end-of-life didn’t dawn until I witnessed my son’s transition to spirit. After his passing, I began working in home care and worked very closely with one child/family over the course of 2.5 years through her decline. It was only through this experience, a little more removed from my own grief, that I was really able to witness the sacredness of the death transition, and my desire to bring the sacredness back to this special time was born. I am working through my training and certification in Healing Touch, a form of therapeutic touch, and love to offer this type of hands-on healing to clients near and at the end of their lives and to loved ones in their grieving. I also have experience with sacred rituals of all kinds as well as sacred healing songs that I find very supportive and therapeutic at the end of life as well as to grieving families. I have a Christian upbringing, but I'm interested in all spiritual traditions and I appreciate offering spiritual support according to the spiritual/religious tradition or beliefs of the client and family.
