Elizabeth Padilla
Founder & Executive Director
Elizabeth's first teacher in end-of-life care was her mother, who lovingly cared for Elizabeth's father and grandmothers at home until their final moments. Watching that tender, ordinary devotion taught Elizabeth that dying can be met with presence and love. It also showed her that her own calling was to nurture others.
A lifelong student of human behavior and holistic wellness, Elizabeth has traveled widely. Time spent with many cultures has shaped her understanding of how people live, grieve, and say goodbye, and has deepened her own spiritual path.
Her work with Tarron Estes and the Conscious Dying Institute was a turning point. Elizabeth served as the Institute's Executive Director for several years, and she fell in love with the opportunity to contribute to the evolution of human consciousness through end-of-life care and education.
Elizabeth feels most at home walking alongside two kinds of travelers: people who are dying, as they move toward their next great adventure, and students, as they discover their own way into this sacred work. Nothing brings her more joy than helping each person find the path that's right for them and for the greater whole. She reminds every student and family she meets that they are not doing this alone.
